Where your data lives
Everything you enter into the PAYE return wizard, every draft you save and every figure the calculators work out is stored in your browser's local storage, on your own device. The server that renders these pages has no data endpoints and stores nothing you type. Clearing your browser data, or the site's storage, removes it.
What we do not store
We do not store your return: employer details, employee records, PINs, pay figures or the upload ZIP. A CSV, Excel or ZIP file you import is read in your browser and never uploaded. There is no sign-in, no account and no personal profile.
What we measure
We count how the site is used, so we know what to fix and what to build next. The counting is done by PostHog: which pages and tools are opened, how often, what is clicked, and where something goes wrong. PostHog knows each browser by a random id, not by who you are.
We use what it gathers only to improve the site. PostHog keeps it for us under its privacy policy.
Support chat
The chat in the corner of each page is how you reach us. It runs on Tawk.to: your messages come to us through it, and Tawk.to keeps the conversation so we can reply and you can pick it up again later, under its privacy policy.
Register searches
The ICPAK and advocate searches send what you type from your browser straight to the register that answers it: ICPAK for accountants and firms, the Law Society of Kenya for advocates. The search does not pass through our server, and we keep no record of it.
Cookies and local storage
Your drafts live in local storage, not in a cookie. PostHog keeps its random id in your browser, and the chat keeps your conversation there, so a later visit from the same browser is recognized.
Children
The tools are meant for employers and payroll staff. They are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
